My Vacation and Holidays

Overview

The Vacation page shows your personal time off for the year — approved vacation periods and public holidays for your country. You can confirm which holidays you observe and submit your own vacation requests.

Opening the Vacation page

Click the Vacation button in the header island (the pill-shaped toolbar at the top right). Use the back arrow to return to the Gantt.

Reading your row in the grid

Your row in the team grid is highlighted so you can find it quickly. Each cell is one day of the year, colour-coded as follows.

Cell colour Meaning
Blue fillYour approved vacation
Orange fillPublic holiday — confirmed
Orange outlinePublic holiday — waiting for your confirmation
Grey fillWeekend
No fillRegular working day

Confirming public holidays

Some holidays are set to User Choose by your admin — meaning you decide whether you observe them. These appear with an orange outline border in your row.

To confirm or skip a holiday, find it in the Pending holidays list in your sidebar panel on the right. Click the checkmark to confirm, or to skip. You can also click the cell directly in the grid to open a quick action panel.

Confirmed holidays count as non-working days and reduce your available capacity for that month. Skipped holidays are treated as regular working days.

Some holidays are confirmed at company level by your admin — those show as solid orange and cannot be changed individually.

Requesting vacation

Right-click anywhere on the Vacation page and select Add vacation, or click a cell in your row. In the modal, set your start and end date. Only working days within the range are counted — weekends and confirmed holidays are excluded automatically.

Your request is saved immediately and appears in blue on the grid.

Your personal sidebar panel

The panel on the right side of the page shows a summary of your time off for the year.

  • Vacation days — total working days of approved vacation
  • Confirmed holidays — public holidays you have confirmed
  • Pending — holidays waiting for your decision (shown in orange)

The My vacation section lists all your vacation periods with the number of working days each one covers. The State holidays section shows all public holidays for your country with their current status.

How this affects your capacity on the Gantt

Every confirmed vacation day and confirmed holiday reduces your available capacity for that month. Your manager and teammates can see this reflected in the Workforce panel — months where you have less availability are shown accordingly in the planning view.
