A collapsible sidebar panel listing all employees in the workspace as a "pool" of available people. You drag a person from the pool directly onto a project bar in the Gantt chart to assign them, without needing to open the edit modal.
The current assignment workflow requires opening the project editor, navigating to the workforce tab, and searching for the right person. For managers staffing multiple projects at once, dragging from a visible pool is dramatically faster and gives an at-a-glance view of who is already assigned elsewhere.
The People Pool sidebar opens alongside the Gantt chart. Each person in the pool shows their name, role, and a visual indicator of how much of their capacity is already committed. Drag a person from the pool onto a project bar to assign them. The sidebar updates in real time as assignments change. People can also be removed from projects by dragging them back to the pool or through the existing edit modal.
