Presentation & Viewing

GanttForce includes several options for customizing how you view and present the Gantt chart.

Presentation mode

Presentation mode hides the header and toolbar and shows the Gantt chart in fullscreen. Use this when presenting to stakeholders or sharing your screen in a meeting.

To enter presentation mode, click the Presentation button in the header. Press Escape or click the exit button to return to normal view.

Density toggle

The density toggle switches between two row height options:

  • Compact — smaller rows, more projects visible at once
  • Tall — larger rows, easier to read names and avatars

Your density preference is saved across sessions — the Gantt opens with your last setting.

The InfoBar

The InfoBar sits below the Gantt chart and shows contextual information:

  • Nothing selected — shows workspace summary metrics: total projects, active projects, upcoming deadlines, and an expertise summary
  • Project selected — shows the project's expertise columns with assigned people and their avatars, plus key dates

Click anywhere on a project bar to select it and update the InfoBar.

Adjusting the panel split

The Gantt chart and the Workforce panel share the screen. Drag the vertical separator between them left or right to give more space to whichever panel you need.

Theme toggle

Switch between light and dark mode using the theme toggle in the header. Your preference is saved across sessions.

Zoom levels

Use the zoom controls in the header to change the timeline window:

  • 12 months — full year overview, best for planning
  • 6 months — balanced detail
  • 3 months — most detail, best for near-term work

The Gantt preserves your scroll position when switching zoom levels.
