A single shared avatar component used everywhere across the platform. When a user has uploaded a photo it is shown; otherwise their initials are rendered as a fallback. Users can also remove their uploaded avatar from Account settings to revert to initials.
Today, uploaded photos are not consistently reflected across the interface — some places show the photo, others still show initials. This makes people harder to recognise and the product feel inconsistent. A unified avatar gives every appearance of a user the same look and removes the confusion.
One avatar component is used in every location that shows a user — header, presence list, workforce, comments, audit log, everywhere. It automatically displays the uploaded photo when one exists and falls back to initials otherwise. In Account settings, users can upload a new photo or remove the existing one; any change propagates everywhere immediately.
