When something goes wrong in GanttForce, an error message appears with a unique error code in the format ERR-XXXX. This code identifies exactly where and what went wrong.
To report an issue, copy the error code from the message and include it when contacting support. This allows the team to locate the exact error in the system quickly.
If the Edit Mode button shows that another user is editing but that person is no longer active, the session lock may be stuck. This can happen if their browser crashed or their connection dropped.
If you are a Platform Superadmin:
Go to the Platform Dashboard, find the workspace, and use the Force Release option. This immediately clears the lock and makes edit mode available.
If you are not a Superadmin:
Contact your workspace administrator or Platform Superadmin and ask them to force-release the lock from the Dashboard.
Before restoring a backup, GanttForce shows a summary of the data in the snapshot. If the summary does not match what you expect, cancel the restore and verify you selected the correct backup. Restoring replaces all current workspace data and cannot be undone.
GanttForce works best in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. If you experience display issues, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.
If you encounter a problem that is not covered here, copy the error code (if one appears) and contact support. Include a description of what you were doing when the error occurred.
