Vacation Planning

Overview

The Vacation page gives you a day-by-day view of your team's time off across the full year. You can log vacation periods, confirm which public holidays apply to each person, and see availability at a glance.

Opening the Vacation page

Click Vacation in the top navigation bar. To return to the Gantt view, click the back arrow or click the button again. You can also right-click anywhere on the page to access quick actions.

Reading the grid

Each row is a team member. Each column is a day in the year. The grid scrolls horizontally through all imported years. A vertical line with the year label marks where one year ends and the next begins.

Your own row is highlighted with a subtle tint so you can find yourself quickly.

Adding vacation

Click + Add vacation in the toolbar.

  • Admins and editors see a person dropdown and can add vacation for any team member.
  • Members can only add vacation for themselves — the person field is not shown.

Enter the start and end date. Vacation days are saved immediately and appear in the grid.

My holidays

Click My holidays in the toolbar to open your personal vacation and holiday summary. This panel shows a chronological list of everything on your calendar — public holidays and your vacation periods together.

What you will see

  • State holidays — managed at company level by an admin. When confirmed for the whole company, they appear as Company approved and count as non-working days in capacity planning.
  • Religious holidays — you decide whether you observe each one. Use Confirm to mark it as a non-working day for you, or Remove to dismiss it.
  • Vacation periods — shown with a start and end marker. Use Cancel on the start row to delete a vacation period.

The list scrolls continuously through all years that have been set up in the system. A year label separates each calendar year.

How holidays affect your capacity

Confirmed holidays and vacation days reduce your available capacity for that period. This is reflected automatically in the Workforce panel. Days marked as removed or cancelled revert to normal working days.
